Sporting Bodies

Since its inception in 1996, Union Sports Club of Orlando has played a fundamental role in encouraging and enhancing various sports in our community. With the support from its members and wellwishers from the community, Union Sports Club has managed to host some of the largest and most attended multi sports festivals and volleyball tournaments in all of North America. We currently have 50 plus members ranging in age from 65 to 15 years old. Union is proud to have a few volleyball championships under its belt and we look forward to many more in the coming future. Union is diligently training the up and coming Union youth volleyball team that has already participated in several tournaments and have definitely raised some eyebrows. We are proud of these youth and look forward to their success. As we plan to host the Sunshine Festival here in Orlando, Union is privileged to work with Orlando Eagles (Soccer) and Orlando Stars (Tennis) clubs in organizing an event that will enhance brotherhood and foster new friendships and relationships.

Orlando Stars was officially started in 2013, with children, women, and men tennis clinics, it's origin actually started with the inception and hosting of the first Masumeen Cup Tennis tournament in 2010 in Orlando, Florida. At that time, the organization organized weekly practices, and started Masumeen Cup, a team tennis tournament. In 2010, we only had 12 players, now we have over 50 players. This year will mark the 7th year of the tournament. Toronto, New York, and Chicago have hosted the event. Orlando Stars goal & mission is to promote unity, fitness, and training for members of our community. The organization has held many affordable weekly clinics for children, ladies, and men. The tennis clinics that are held are taught by professional tennis instructors, and goal is not only to improve tennis, but also to make it fun and enjoyable. The sports organization, not only hosts internal tennis tournaments and leagues in the community, but also participates in Central Florida Tennis Association leagues. Weekly tennis practices are held, as well as, seasonal internal tennis tournaments for adults and children. Moving forward, our expanded mission, is to introduce tennis to as many individuals as possible. Currently, we have over 60 children that participate in weekly clinics, over 50 adult men players, and over 15 ladies tennis players.

In our ongoing community-wide effort to strengthen bonds between our children and youth in the spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood, the Orlando Eagles and Eaglets Football Club provides weekly soccer practices at its signature Lake Sylvan field. We are very pleased to see over 100+ participants engaged in what is now fostering greater unity and some healthy recreational activity and skills based learning in the world's most beautiful game.

The youth have developed a higher order of game knowledge while building physical skills, game intelligence and technical game development. The club is also constructively fostering team building and cooperation by consistently partaking in various local, statewide and international tournaments, and also hosting some of it's own through its ever-exciting annual Ramadhan tournament, and most recently hosting the Umoja Games in 2013.

Our main achievement has been the establishment of the Orlando Eaglets for our youngsters ages 5 to 14. With a record 85 boys and girls membership that train every week, the Eaglets are on the road to swiftly learning the fundamental skills of the game, the essence of hard work, discipline and fair play.

We are proud to serve the community through promoting the love of the game from a young age, building character while strengthening the bonds of friendship in the spirit of our faith.
